Information

Main News Items:

The CSO Southern Highlands Committee has:

  1. Established a Virtual Phone system - with local number 02 4858 0555 with members rostered to take calls - some of these are diverted from the AA National Help Line.

  2. Made a list of local members willing to greet new comers before their local meeting or to do 12th step visits with another member.

If you can assist please let us know.

  3. Needs local groups to give email addresses for their Secretaries and Treasurers ( or another contact member) to be able to distribute news. Please contact us.

  4. Made a roster of monthly CSOSH meetings - so members may attend to see what goes on and be involved.

  5. Has arranged for Highlands 107.1 FM to update the information on the radio file they kindly play twice daily as a community service - listen here

CSOSH thanks107.1 FM Community Radio for their service, and contributes by donation in spirit with AA's tradtion of being "self-supporting".

  6. Has paid for the inclusion of an info-advertisement in Latte-Life for the Christmas New Year edition. CSOSH thanks Latte-Life for their assistance with artwork.

  7. Has decided to support an AA outreach into the Berrima Goal, and a weekly meeting there when this can be arranged.

  8. Organises the lamination of Local Meetings Cards for distribution to members, and is organising AA 'business-style' cards for local health, legal and welfare professionals.

  9. Currently recommends the local AA Groups contribute, after their own group's running costs and a prudent reserve set aside are met, to a rearranged 60:30:10 donation plan.

    60%
to the National General Service Office
    30%
    to the CSO Southern Highlands
    10%
    to Area B Canberra

    Note:
This is the reverse of normal world service guidelines where the local CSO would have 60% and GSO 30%

Email us for BSB and Account information.

As usual, each group is autonomous and may contribute in whatever proportions they wish.

  10. CSOSH will organise literature orders for any group that wishes CSOSH assistance.

As always suggestions from local AA groups and members so to how the CSOSH may best "carry the message" in our local area would be most welcome. Contact CSOSH via our website
